kodiak cakes/ bear country cookies= ok by me

Going to SLC this past week naturally, my mind was on getting a Ben's cookie from the second I landed, only to find out Ben's is no more... RUDE. well I went anyway hoping it would be the same, on good advice from Liz. and guess what, IT WAS THE SAME. Plus I bought really yummy raspberry syrup! TADA. Now I'm a sentimental girl so even though the cookies were just as delightful, I couldn't help but be a little sad that Mr. Ben was gone...
until i went home and looked up Kodiak cakes. not only do they have other tasty treats, but RECIPES!!!!!! Can you imagine life if you could create a Ben's at will. I don't even want to think about it until I test it out this weekend! Wish me luck!

PS The other good news is now you can order cookies online for WAY CHEAPER then when they were Ben's. I feel A OK about this one.

Remember?

Remember this poem that Dr. Talbot read to us?
Just lovely, I thought. :)

And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon England's mountain green
And was the Holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen!

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon these Clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
among these Dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of Burning Gold
Bring me my Arrows of Desire
Bring me my Spear: oh clouds unfold
Bring me my Chariot of Fire!

I will not Cease from Mental Fight
Nor Shall my Sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green & pleasant Land

Is it Possible?

Is it really possible, that exactly 2 years ago today, I was saying good bye to my family in Sky Harbor Airport, getting ready to board British Airways? It just can't be. Just think, we all arrived at 27 Palace Court 2 years ago as of tomorrow.

What an adventure.

Time just...flies.

The other day, as I sat missing you all, I thought about all the changes our little group has gone through. Most of us are back in school, some have graduated, many have married, and one or two are pregnant! It's amazing to look back on Winter 2008 and see how much we have changed.

Who would have thought?
